MISSION
The mission of the DeKalb County coalition is to unite community leaders and citizens of DeKalb County forming strong partnerships across major community sectors with the goal of reducing substance abuse.
What We Do
Topshelf ABC Training
DeKalb Prevention Coalition offers TopShelf responsible beverage service training to establishments or individual servers. TopShelf is a State of Tennessee approved training program.
Opioid Overdose Training
Naloxone (or NarcanTM) is a proven tool in the battle against drug misuse and overdose death. When too much of an opioid medication is taken, it can slow breathing to a dangerously low rate.
Medication Lock Boxes
More than 60,000 young children end up in emergency rooms each year because they got into medicines while their caregiver wasn’t looking.
